One Field was founded in 2020 in Mount Lawley, Western Australia, amidst a world being turned upside down. In the wake of catastrophe there was a poignant stillness; a time to reflect and evaluate.
A climate that has a momentum carries a sense of inevitability, One Field offers something that comes from an introspective, thoughtful place. We are participants in something that is greater than the sum of its parts but that does not diminish the universe that is within every one of us.

Made to order
All One Field garments are handmade to order in Perth, Western Australia. The last thing we need is more unwanted clothes cluttering the planet. I aim to get orders filled as quickly as possible but please be mindful that the timing can be variable depending on how many orders have been placed and the complexity of the design. You are more than welcome to track the progress of your order. One Field has an open door policy.
An alternative way to dress
One Field is about a ‘dance to the beat of your own drum’ energy. Rather than racing to keep up with current micro trends and seasons, I like to follow my instincts as a designer and humor my whims a little. What you’ll find here are ideas that have a playfulness exploring possibilities in shape, colour and texture. You can dress in clothes that were designed for everyone but you can also dress in clothes with a personal story that have been mindfully conceived. Mindful, sustainable, tailored garments are part of my story, and I hope one day they will be part of yours.
A dress for all seasons
In line with my ‘go lightly’ ethos, One Field is all about mixing and matching so you get the most out of your clothes. The garments are designed to have an effortless quality with a bias towards natural fibers to accommodate hotter months in Perth, but also aim to accommodate being paired with other loved wardrobe items in any climate. Have fun mixing it up!
Materials
You'll find the materials used are overwhelmingly natural, renewable fibers that are kind to the planet. Linen and hemp are known for their light water consumption and lesser need for pesticides, as does organic cotton in comparison to non organic cotton. Tencel, despite being made from wood chips, is renowned for its ‘closed loop’ production, where chemicals are reused repeatedly and waste is substantially smaller than other cellulose production techniques, and the wood fiber is sustainably and ethically sourced. All of the fibers used are biodegradable, so these garments won’t necessarily outlive you. Perhaps that isn’t a bad thing?
Don’t be a stranger
Drop us a line and be in touch if you’re looking for something custom made. Feedback is important here as I’m always looking for ways to evolve and improve my designs. I can also help out with any repairs within reason.
